Hi Angie,
Thanks for your question. It's a good one.
Because the icing I use is a royal icing and not a buttercream, it will not melt or smear in the hot Summer months.
Once it is dry and in place, it stays that way until it is eaten off :)

What about in the Summer Months? What do you do about the heat? To keep the icing from melting and smearing? ;)

That is correct. No additional boxes needed. I love using the foam because the cookies don't shift during shipping. They seem to grip to the foam. I've tried using peanuts, bubble wrap, bubble bags and stuffing the boxes full of paper around the cookies but I never had luck with those methods. There were always at least a few broken cookies at their final destination. I know others use those methods with great success but I never mastered the art until the foam sheets. I hope this helps and good luck. I would love to hear how it works for you.

Renee, you ship right in that priority box with the foam? or do you put that box inside another box?

I don't sell and ship cookies, but am going to be mailing some thank you cookies soon, and I've been working out my how to ship details.

thanks!!

This is a great idea! Thank you for sharing! When my cookies start looking as wonderful as yours, perhaps I'll be shipping too. LOL
